Eagle F1 Asymmetric Tyre

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric

High Performance Tyres

Eagle F1 Asymmetric tyres from Goodyear are highly respected throughout the industry, and widely acknowledged to be the best performance road tyre available. This is confirmed by the results of the recent "Evo Magazine" Tyre Test, Where the Eagle F1 won the title of "Best Overall Performing Tyre" with a clear advantage over the others tested. Other Goodyear tyres in the range have also received extremely favourable reports in other magazine tests such as Auto Express and Autocar.

There are three key elements that are important to high performance vehicle owners when choosing tyres, these are safety, performance, and comfort. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric combines Active Cornergrip Technology with a Racing Compound rubber tread pattern to work with safety and stability control systems on modern cars. This means that the weight of the car is distributed evenly through the corners at high speeds, and transfers to a large contact patch on the road. We know you don't want to sacrifice comfort at the expense of great handling either, so we've incorporated measures to ensure the best tyre noise harmonics, and make sure the grippiest tyre you've ever fitted, is also the quietest.

The design includes an aramid chipper in the inside wall of the tyre, which ensures an even distribution of pressure, this equates to highly efficient tyre/road contact, all zones of the tread contact patch are in action. Specificlly created for performance, speed, and safety, the unique tread pattern reinforces compression of the open tread zone, which is designed with wet conditions in mind. Tread stiffness is optimised by a highly reinforcing filler, along with polymers.

Goodyear Manufacturer Information

Founded in 1898, the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company was started by Frank Seiberling. It is the third largest tire company in the world apart from Bridgestone and Michelin. Goodyear manufacture tires for road cars, racing cars, airplanes, trucks, lorries, and heavy machinery. It also makes rubber hoses, shoe soles, and parts for electric printers. The company has also been heavily involved in the aerospace, military, and hardware technology industries.

The company was not connected with Charles Goodyear, the inventor of vulcanized rubber in 1839, although it was named "Goodyear" in honour of the man. The first Goodyear tyres became popular because they were low maintenance, and easily detachable.

Goodyear became a famous brand throughout the world as a result of the Goodyear blimp. The blimp came from Goodyear's attempts to enter the Aircraft and Aerospace industries after the 2nd World War. It still remains one of the most recognizable advertising icons in America today.
